Two thrilling games decided by the odd goal in the summer series wk 2

This week saw UoP return to Temeraire for the Mens teams to take centre stage, followed by another mixed friendly.

The men played out a pulsating 5-4 win for UoP with the winner coming just moments before the final whistle. In a game that ebbed and flowed UoP got off to a quick start going 2-0 up before being pegged back with goals from Tom S and Jake H, in to the second half and five more goals came in alternating fashion but with the uni ahead and pegged back twice before snatching a deserved late winner. Special mentions should be given to Ellis for a number of spectacular saves in goal, Jake H for a master class in 3D skills (embarrassing some supposed 'better' uni compatriots), and finally Hugo for his absolute wonder goal - take a bow!

In the mixed; the game started well with both teams creating lots of opportunities but to no avail. At half time it was 0-0 and with a quick re structure during the team talk we started to see progress with more opportunities won for US. A quick break from Hugo meant we were 1-0 up we just had to keep it that way. US stayed strong in defence with counter attacks coming in thick and fast but very time Snowy was all over it. The half ended with a short corner for UoP but once again the defence were strong and kept them at bay. Final score USPHC 1-0 UoP

Well done to all that took part from both clubs!
